It took several years to complete this novel. Living in Colorado, the beautiful natural environs and my desire to be in them can sometimes challenge my determination to sit and write.
But now it’s done.
No Saints Among Us is a book of fiction, but it does contain some autobiographical elements: I did grow up in Czechoslovakia, which during those times was ruled by a Soviet-style dictatorship. I am a physician. And I did defect from the country and eventually found my way to the United States.
